Hi Everyone,
You have really created a wonderful web site and done a fantastic job of contacting all of us.  I really wish I could be there, but I will be in Chicago for a sales meeting.  Yes, I am still working - as a sales rep for educational materials.  After teaching for several years, I found this wonderful career and can't get the industry out of my system.
I live in Richardson, a suburb of Dallas and have three children and five grandchildren. One son lives in Charleston, SC with his wife, one son lives on the Eastern shore of Maryland with his wife and two boys, and our daughter lives about 45 minutes away with her three children. My husband of 36 years passed away in 2002, so I keep busy with the grandchildren and traveling for business and fun.
I have fond memories of AW from the Field Hockey team ( I never did make the Varsity) to Miss Garafalo's Latin Classes. Ugh!
Have a cabernet for me and do the twist.
Joanne

I wish so much that I could be at the reunion, but was unaware of it until after  I'd booked a trip to Italy.  Seeing this wonderful website makes me miss  Fairfield and all the friends  and adventures I had there.  As I think back, I never took time to live in the present but was  always pushing toward the next goal.  I no longer do that and am quite happy with what  I now have.  I live in Miami, am divorced, have a wonderful boyfriend and continue to be in practice as a Mental Health Counselor and Marriage and family therapist.  I finally quit smoking 12 years ago and am a body builder and tennis player.  Still as competitative as ever, but hopefully in a more appropriate way.  I have a son Barry,a professor of Biomedical Engineering, and a  daughter, Lauren, a CPA, but at this time @ home with her identical twin daughters, age 9.  Wish I could be there!

Just learned of the reunion a day or two ago but prior commitments won't allow me to attend.

I'm living in Glens Falls, NY just south of Lake George and working (semi-retired) as the database manager and all around "computer-guy" for a medium size Electrical Supply Company here in town.

I never stayed in one place long enough to get married having traveled as far west as Arizona and south as Key West.  Almost married Martha in Hunstville, Alabama but she met another guy while I was attending The University of Alabama.

Glad to see so many of you are still kicking and I wish you all the best.

Hi eneryone!
Looking forward to seeing all in August. After reading Rich Greenburgs coments, I absolutluly agree. We have all experienced a long and bumby ride. Some more bumpy than others.  It seems so strange that the kids I remember as young and healthy could have passed on so soon. I wish I could see them again.
I am divorced (after 34 years of marriage)with 3 grown kids and 5 grandchildren and have been living with my boyfriend these last 10 years. Been through several carrers and unfortunately still working at the last one. Also have my own glass business and that keeps me sane (I think).  Keep taking mini courses in glass and metal to keep my mind working and creative and to meet new people from all over. Have taught many courses on same at Guilford Art Center. Am having a fun life, and plan to live to the fullist  with the rest of my alloted time.
See you all then, Micki

Hi there,

Just a few notes about life since Andrew Warde.

In 1962, I went to work for Perkin-Elmer as an optical technician/specialist.  I stayed with the company during it's various transitions (Hughes Optical Systems, Raytheon Optical Systems, Goodrich Optical Systems) until retirement in 2004.

In 1965, I married Patricia Kalapir, we built a home in Redding, and have been happily together ever since.

In 1970 we welcomed our daughter, Bethann, into our family and she has brought us lots of love and laughter.

Throughout the years I played softball, bowled, and am now into golf.

In 2005 we moved to Griswold to be near our daughter's family with our four grandchildren: Mac-8, T.J.-6, Ethan-4 and Stella-1.

Although we are near Foxwoods we find the area to be like Fairfield as we were growing up: very country, lots of farms and open spaces, friendly people and no traffic.

Unfortunately, due to my wife's illness we are unable to attend the reunion but I wish everyone the best that life has to offer.

Hi Everyone,
This is a great website for the class of"59 and the committee is doing a fabulous job trying to get this to be a memorable night for all.  We have always lived in Connecticut and love it here.  Our daughter and her husband and two or our grandchildren are five minutes away and our son and his wife and three children live in Potomac Md.  We all try to get together often as this is our major joy of life.  Today Lanny(my husband),my brother and my daughter had a birthday lunch in Fairfield for my mother who celebrated her 91st birthday.  It's amzing how lucky we all are to still have her in our lives(and she is great!).  Look forward to seeing some of my high school friends from the past so please make the effort and show up.  Email me if you're coming!!!Until thenxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxL.

-50 years, get out of here!
High school was the best of times and at the same time, the worst of times, the age of enlightenment and the age of darkness.
I would have loved to be able to attend this gathering, but unfortunately, a previous engagement makes that impossible. I had a great time at the 30th Reunion and know that I would have had a great time at the 50th!
Regards
Bruce
PS My apologies to Charles Dickens for the plaigerism.

Thanks for such a wonderful job you have all done to create this site as well as do the planning for an event that I will be attending for sure.
Living in Santa Fe, NM with my wife Zoe. (Just married, Dec 27th,08 with our class president in attendance),  My daughter (with my first wife) Danna  lives in Wellesley, Ma. with her husband Michael and three children.. In addition to Zoe, they are the reason for being.  Do not know if Zoe will be able to attend as she has a very active occupation here in Santa Fe.  Same as Randy V's.  It is starting to rebound so who knows how involved she will be then.

Just went to Tampa to see Lawrence Mark Taylor.  Hope he will be there also.

A little tid- bit to share is that unfortunately I was also(as some of our classmates) divorced, actually twice.  Said,"NEVER AGAIN"..  And then along came Zoe.  Needed a ring and lo and behold, found my first love, Linda Bloom Gans selling jewelry at Mitchell's.  What a connection and how happy I was to buy the ring from her with her wonderful input..  How strange is that??  Looking forward to seeing her as well and the rest of our class.

We all certainly had our issues as evidenced by Barb. Pokras's words. She seems to have come out fine in spite of the era and it's blemishes on us all.  No one got out unscathed.. Sad to see so many of us have passed away.

I feel lucky to be here , lucky in my profession, lucky in family and friends.  Hope to make some new ones when I see you all.

Funny,Mickey, I remember you and Eddie so well with such fine thoughts. You were both quite the couple. Sad for his loss.. So glad that you connected with Bob..  I can so clearly see how his words showed his love and dedication for you.  You indeed are lucky to have that once again.

Looking ahead to seeing you all

Richard
